Spring Quilt Market 2011: Monaluna

Jennifer Moore of Monaluna had a booth at Quilt Market for the first time to show her self-produced, organic collections Anika and Marin (which are arriving in stores right now) as well as her first collection Monaco. You can get a wee glimpse of her next collection, Taali, over on the Monaluna website!

Also look for Jennifer’s work this season with Robert Kaufman’s Metro Market collection, and of course Birch Fabrics’ Circa 60: Beach Mod and the almost-sold-out Circa 50.

Spring Quilt Market 2011: Yara African Fabrics

Yara‘s traditional African fabrics really stood out from the crowd at Quilt Market. Although not traditional quilting fabric, many of these 100% cotton fabrics could be used to make really interesting and different quilts. Yara has a website, but all orders must be placed over the phone. Luckily, the owners are super friendly and will be happy to help you.

Lynn has developed a rad line of vinyl decals for sewists and quilters under her company name Fiber Flies. I’m thinking about getting some giant shears for the side of our cargo bike.

I was checking in to see if David Textiles

Spring Quilt Market 2011: Robert Kaufman

I will admit that I have been putting off these posts because there is just so much to write about! The folks at Robert Kaufman had tons of new stuff to show at market and were very excited to share it all.

One corner of the booth featured Kaufman’s Kona solids and the quilts created during the Modern Quilt Guild‘s Kona Challenge.
