Well here are the results. ;)

I used a Grow With Me jelly roll. The

White Quilts – Current Trend

I read somewhere today that white quilts are a current trend.  I don't think my customer Claire meant this gorgeous beauty to be on trend when she made it - but hey Claire, the so called professionals say it is.  And I must note that it is nicer than any of the ones I saw in the article although I could just be a wee bit bias.

The quilting is a freehand soft swirl which I thought suited the feminine design of this quilt.

What I’m Wearing | A dress will always save the day!

So this morning, I had an event to attend at Belk at The Summit.  It was a "Fall 2012 Fashion Tour".  I'll tell you more about that later.  Life has been crazy hectic for the last week or so, but I still wanted to make something new to wear.  So on Monday, I figured I'd prep and cut and on Tuesday, I'd just "Project Ruway" my way through the day and "Make it Work"!  FAIL!   I don't know what in the world I was thinking...  I, Erica Bunker, am NOT a speed sewer.

We are going to share a series of sewing tips and tricks here on the Moda Bake Shop. Would you like to share your favorite sewing tip? Send us an email.

Today's tip comes from Jennifer Overstreet of {www.ghquilting.com}.

Jennifer suggests trimming away the excess fabric at your corners when binding your quilt. This cuts down on the bulk and leaves you with a nice smooth corner. It's especially helpful when you are working with true bias binding and curved

Say Cheese

My last few days have been good. The cheddar Rolling Stone quilt top is done. It does get one more cheddar border but then it wouldn't fit on my wall. Mark says it has too much orange. That's what he thinks. It's the orange that is making me smile. Say Cheese. :-D

I also met my other goal for the week that I just set Monday. I finished the quilting on another comfort quilt. I hope to get another one going right away.

Quilt Queen will be traveling!

I just got notice today that “Quilt Queen” will be traveling! She has been accepted into the 2012 International Quilt Festival in Houston, Texas. What fun! Now she can survey the far-reaches of her kingdom.

I also sent an entry form for “Surrender,” but that one was not accepted. I really am not upset at all about it, though, because it means that
