More Pillowcases

If you weren't one of the lucky ones that got a pillowcase fabric kit in our store on Tuesday you may be in luck today.  I have just relisted them-however, we had to use different fabric (the blue and green sold out).  So, here are the choices:

So Far This Summer

I’ve been off of school for a week now and so far it has been fairly busy.  My friend is getting married in September and this Saturday I am throwing her a bridal shower.  So I’ve been getting things prepped for the event.

I also taught my first two sewing classes.  Amazingly I managed to sleep the night before – though I did wake up to remember that the pieces of the samples I sewed I used the wrong seam allowance.  In the morning I fixed it.  On Tuesday I taught the Pink Chalk Mail Bag.  I had four students

Beautiful Cheery Quilt with Freehand Flowers

This is a wonderful quilt that was done for Victoria Quilts.  I can't help but think that this quilt will put a smile on the persons face receiving it and hopefully help while they are going through their challenge.

Our Victoria Quilt chapter here in Calgary now has a facebook page - please check it out  https://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/CalgaryBranchVQC

I just couldn't help but put some freehand flowers on this lovely cheery quilt.

I must be quilting

I must quilt more than I think I do. Here is another comfort quilt that I quilted. I left it in the studio and found it when I loaded the raffle quilt.
I must not quilt enough though. I forgot to change threads on this and quilted with white where I wanted to use blue. Good thing it wasn't important.  Also on the raffle quilt, I forgot to line up the first row of the panto correctly, so that goofed me up a bit.

Review: New Look 6100 | Stars and Stripes!

I hope everyone had a great Independence Day.  We did!  My husband, "The Grillmaster" made his world famous baby back ribs!  Delish!  And we had a great family day.
I wanted to make a festive 4th of July ensemble and I'd remember this really cute denim fabric with embroidered stars that I'd seen

Project 52*27

With a dog and a toddler in the house, I cannot keep my floors clean.  I was complaining the other night about all the crumbs on the floor after dinner and was being silly when I asked Reid if he'd sweep for me.  He was so sweet pushing all the dirt around sweeping the floor for me.

WIP Wednesday Week 27 7.4.12

This wasn't a very productive week as I taught Beginning Machine Quilting Wed. & Thurs. nights, then we left after work Friday for my dad's and spent the weekend there. We trudged around my great grandparents homestead and went tubing on the Cheyenne River, where we had to be rescued at 8PM since there was storm and it took us way longer than expected to reach our destination. We still had 5-6 miles left to get where we had planned to be by 6PM. We still had fun, but know now that it was too long to tube. It was
