Sketching #158

CPP Response #158: Bird

CPP Response #158: Bird

This is another prompt where I wanted to do something more elaborate, but I just didn’t know what. In the end I just did a kind of flock of birds.

I have been looking at birds lately and wanting to draw them. Amy from the Creative Mom Podcast did a project with drawing birds and that inspired me. I did the one giant budgie, but I need more practice.

There is always the opportunity to do

Spring Quilt Market 2012: FreeSpirit/Westminster – Valori Wells

Stepping into Valori Wells’ booth was like stepping in to a summer picnic, with fabric EVERYWHERE, including the floor! Valori’s nature-inspired designs and friendly demeanor really seem to embody the idea of a free spirit!

Summer

I know it seems as if we are on Summer vacation.  Actually, we're not.  I just can't seem to find anything blog worthy to post about this week.  Anything sewing-related, anyway.  We are working on the next Label Crew project and we should have a sneak peek up next week.   Plus we are working on upcoming projects but nothing is finished so we can't post them.

So since I have nothing exciting in the quilting/fabric/etsy shop department, I will share a bit of news that is really exciting.  Especially to my mom.

Dear Pioneer Woman, Part One

UPDATE: It’s taking me a little longer to get through questions, so it may be late Friday night/Saturday morning before I’m able to post Part 2. Great questions!

Note: This is Part One of what will probably be three or four installments. Lots more great questions have come in, both through Comments and email.

Dear Pioneer Woman,

I have a dire problem. I don’t like cilantro. It only tastes bitter on my tongue, and my rebellious tastebuds can detect
