Bazaar or bizarre?

Good evening everyone :-)  It’s nostalgia time again!

Mum’s booklet was given to a charity shop a long time ago. It has been out of print for decades but there are many more editions still available. It

Cross and Star (Job’s Tears)

The tutorial for the Cross and Star block has been posted.  I've also seen this block entitled "Job's Tears," but I prefer "Cross and Star" because that's what it looks like to me!  This is the tenth completed block for my Bible block-of-the-month wedding sampler.  Only twenty to go!

WIP Wednesday Week 24 6.13.12

This has been a busy week! We went to Pierre to the Speedway and spent the weekend fishing on the Missouri River. It was lots of fun and very relaxing, but boy I didn't feel like I had a weekend. I finished my final 2500 word paper for my Spring class on Sunday night when we got home and I got an A! Woohoo! So glad this class is over. Hopefully the summer class will be more interesting since it's on Curriculum Design.

Thursday night I taught a class on Merry Go Round. The girls in it were

I am SUPPOSED to have a policy that says "if something comes in" "Something goes out" But this does NOT apply to fabric... When I was teaching in Alabama I did a little retail 'research'... and came away with this swoon worthy group of summer fabrics... Clothes line, orange bike and WORDS is "Lucy's Crab Shack" by SweetWater for Moda. Grey/yellow bikes are a Michael Miller I'm always being asked how much fabric I buy. Always as...

Logic vs. Emotion

I have been in the process of making my sewing area more functional, more productive and well, somewhere I want to be.  Lately it's been a terrible set-up, to the point where I just didn't want to sew. Yes, it was THAT bad.  So I started doing some research for new tables, organizational furniture and other things to nurture my creative process.  My go to place was Ikea, even though I own zero Ikea furniture and have never stepped foot in one of their stores small countries.  I found the perfect set-up that will allow me a large table top

Desperate in Denver

I’m no life expert.

Not by a long shot.

Here. I’ll prove it.

See?

So what I’m trying to say is, I don’t have all the answers. Sometimes I don’t have any answers. Sometimes I have some answers. Sometimes I have what I think is an answer but it turns out not to be an answer. Sometimes I dance around the house wearing overalls and stilettos.

Not really on that last part.

But every once in awhile,
