Hurry Up and Wait!

Hmmmm, what have I been up to?

Hurry up and pack boxes and take down shelves and clean, clean, clean.
Wait for the realtor to book showings.
Hurry up and whisk away any sign that humans (and animals) live here.
Drive off and wait for the people looking at the house to leave.
Hurry up and drive up the valley to meet the home inspector.
Wait for the roofers to finish up so you can take a much needed nap.
Hurry up and sign the offer to purchase.
Wait for the paperwork to be completed.

And the list goes

Sketching #148

Creative prompt response #148: Tea

Creative prompt response #148: Tea

This word had such potential and I was really looking forward to responding to it, then, in the end, I ran out of time and just tossed something on the page.I can always go back and do another, right?

I guess done is better than perfect. Create your own perfect response and post the direct URL (link) where your drawing, doodle, artwork is posted (e.g. your blog, Flickr) in the comments area of the

needing a new post – always out of time

I know, I know, my usual mantra.  But, it is true and how I wish it were not.  Last weekend + 1 day 'tP' & I spent some "quality time" cleaning and repairing a mobile home we had purchased so a long-time "friend" of his had a home to live in.  A bad decision on our part (purchasing the MH, not cleaning it) as the "friend" turned out to be no such thing (even after 50 years of said "friendship").  We were "taken to the cleaners" ourselves in this deal.  We have found a buyer for

Having more fun

Does everyone equate having fun with shopping? With Quilts 'n Such in Delavan closing it's hard to stay away, but fabric is down to 50% 0FF I only bought staples- light backgrounds, blacks I was out of and a few quilt backs. I emptied 10 bolts and Lucrecia emptied 11. Sue has lots of control.
I have the quilt with orange stars on the frame. I will probably finish it tonight. I like how I decided to quilt the small stars.

Happy Belated Birthday!

Jim was a bad boy this year… he forgot my birthday!  So I picked my own present out and thanked him profusely when it finally arrived!  Hehehe!

Meet Claudette, a beautiful Singer 15-91 with a birthdate of 1952.  She’s not perfect, but she is in very good condition.  I have to do a little tweaking on her, the bobbin winder needs adjusting as does the presser foot height, but otherwise she’s in great shape!  Her paint isn’t

Binding, Binding, Binding

Lest you think I'm not getting anything quilty done, here is a pile of bindings. Two of these are out of the book and one is a precious baby quilt. One hand finished - in progress. One machine binding - in progress. One machine bound and ready for it's debut.

I'll admit, I can do machine binding, but I'm not a fan of it. I find them stiff and it somehow feels wrong to me to have that seam on the
