Yesterday I posted about the trimming of the thousand pyramids pieces.
I got a great Idea from Jean in the comments. She suggested that all those scraps would make great material for the birds to make nests. I am going to put them outside and let the birds have them.
Since I had birds on the brain I went outside to check on the robin that has made a nest in the weeping cherry tree in the front yard. I got a picture but the robin was not happy with me! I
I gathered up my courage and finished quilting the mom’s face and hair. It is a small, but important area. I really wanted it to look nice. I tried giving myself some convincing self-talk so I would quit procrastinating and get it done. In the end, it took the motivation of an impending deadline for me to jump in and do it. So, it is with great relief that all of the main elements are now completely quilted.
Mmmm! Ever since starting the wonderful Italian culture I bought several months ago, I cannot get enough sourdough! I adore this culture because it’s not really “sour”… not like San Fransisco sourdough, which I’m not overly fond of. It make the most killer sourdough waffles ever, and totally kickass bread too! Why use sourdough if you don’t want the sour taste? Well for one thing, you don’t have to buy anymore yeast!
