200 Pretties and a Handsome

Squares1I received my package of fabric squares yesterday. This is from the latest I Spy charm square swap that I took part in--this one hosted by Linnea. I've been having fun going through the stack and enjoying all 200 of these fabric squares. Someday they'll go into one or more cuddle quilts.

March Free Motion Quilting Challenge

Here it is the last day of the month and I finally get around to working on my SewCalGal's Free Motion Quilting Challenge for March.  Things have been busy around here and I'm off to visit some family for a couple of days.  I'm leaving the dh to administer the dog's medicine for a couple of days.  They'll be fine.  They just lay around all day anyway while he's at work.

I really liked this month's challenge because it

Tiny ‘s hobbyhoekje 2012-03-31 13:59:00

Presenting March Schnibbles – Bibelot

I worked so hard on this quilt and I almost missed the posting deadline!  Totally forgot this is the 31st, but luckily as soon as I opened my Google Reader, I saw someone's post about it.  Whew!  I wouldn't have wanted all that hard work to go to waste.

So, without further adieu....presenting.....
BIBELOT
Only I'm calling it "T-Squared".  And the amazing Thelma of Cupcakes 'n Daisies is calling it "T is for  Thelma"  (When I say "amazing", you

Josh and the Flat Tire

TPW_3324Cowboy Josh and Cowboy Pete spent about three hours fixing a flat tire on a semi yesterday.

This involved:

1. Jacking up the truck
2. Loosening the lug nuts, some of which were rusted and stuck
3. Pulling the tire off the truck
4. Loading up the tire
5. Driving the tire to get it fixed in town
6. Hauling the tire back to the truck
7. Putting the tire back on the truck
8. Fastening the lug nuts back onto the tire

Florets

Florets - March 2012

Florets - March 2012

Yes, I am working on the Flowering Snowball. It is a hand project (as I designed it to be) and I work on it when I watch TV.

I did a lot of cutting a few weeks ago, as I mentioned and the result is that I am putting segments together until there are none left and then putting other segments together until I can start sewing blocks together. At the moment I am working on sewing

I love how you made a 'belt' look without having to worry about it getting 'lost' or falling down on an active girl. Have a wonderful weekend!

Layer Cake – Yum!

Bought my first Layer Cake - Yumalicious! Indian Summer by Zoe Pearn for Riley Blake from Missouri Star Quilt Company.  It even came with a pattern, which was so easy! It didn't include quite enough squares to make the size of that particular pattern, but it'll still make a nice size quilt.  I found some fabric locally that I can use for the border and backing.

I've been starting so many projects lately, and I'm starting to feel a little like I need to slow
