Spring Quilt Market 2012: Timeless Treasures – Designers

Here’s a look at Timeless Treasures‘ designer collections from Spring Quilt Market 2012. These are all in stores now. Ship Shape is a dramatic and graphic take on nautical by the awesome Alice Kennedy. I’m seeing patriotic kids’ clothes as well as modern nursery decor and quilts.

Hoodie is keeping with the produce theme — last year it was Fruit a La Carte, now it’s the vegetable garden with

What I’m Wearing | Weekend Whiteout!

One of the biggest trends that took over  Spring Fashion Week 2012, was none other than white on white. I love a head-to-toe white ensemble.
But it's really hard to achieve this look without looking like a marshmallow!  In my effort, I added touches of metal.

Spring Quilt Market 2012: Andover Fabrics

Andover is becoming a major player on the contemporary/modern scene — they’re one of the small handful of companies who is going to be exhibiting at Quiltcon early next year, so that should tell you something!  Here’s what we got to see at Spring Quilt Market, and we know there’s lots more excitement to come. First up, once-Austinite, now-Chicagoan Jane Dixon’s City Scenes, an awesome, funky, beatnik-vibed collection.

All the fabrics you see here are out in stores now.

Spring Quilt Market 2012: FreeSpirit – Tula Pink

Oh, Tula Pink always gets me in my rainbow-lovin’ heart.

Tula was at market in full force, with a huge booth to showcase two lines, Nightshade (out now) and The Birds and the Bees (July/August). The space was divided down the middle with the two line’s color palettes, but still meshed beautifully together, like a really well-adjusted split-personality.

The Book! You have it, right?

The Birds and the Bees features 29 quilting cottons,

Spring Quilt Market 2012: Dear Stella

In the weeks leading to Quilt Market, Dear Stella announced their second round of collections, which take their debut collections to the next level. Dear Stella was introduced to offer a unique and focused set of fabrics that differ from many manufacturers or licensed collections. With a set of coordinates that can work across all or most of the collections, they’re making it easier to select focal prints and know you’ll have more to work with just one collection.

What stood out at market was the metallics in person as well as the

What I’m Wearing | Black & White ZigZag — A Throwback!

This skirt is a throwback from waaaaaaayyyyyyy back.  It's from 2005!
It's one of my favorite crocheted projects.  In case you haven't been reading my blog from its initial conception, you may or may not know that I do crochet and knit.  I just haven't sat down to do either in a while.

What I’m Wearing | Tropical Florals and Things I’ve Learned!

Since the last dress I made, I've been in the mood to wear halters.  So I pulled out this dress I made  2 years ago.
It's Simplicity 2579.  Now, let's talk about the what I've learned since 2 years ago when I made this dress...

Review: Vogue 1298 | Eye Spy Eyelet!

I love a crisp, clean, cool and sparkling white dress.  For me, it's impossible for it to be summer without one.  I've been seeing lace and eyelet everywhere, so I decided that eyelet would be my choice of fabric for this dress.
I used Vogue 1298, a pattern by designer Rachel Comey.  I bought this pattern as quickly as I could get my hands on it.  I was sold

Spring Quilt Market 2012: FreeSpirit/Westminster – Valori Wells

Stepping into Valori Wells’ booth was like stepping in to a summer picnic, with fabric EVERYWHERE, including the floor! Somehow I resisted the urge to climb into her hammock filled with quilts, but I was definitely tempted. Valori’s nature-inspired designs and friendly demeanor really seem to embody the idea of a free spirit!

Spring Quilt Market 2012: Birch Fabrics – Current Collections

{ Mod Squad by Dan Stiles }

Judging from the sheer number of collections and projects they had to show them off, Birch Fabrics is clearly growing! The market really seems to be embracing their innovative designs on organic fabric, which is great news.
