Pat Sloan: Is purple my color or maybe teal?

There are always so many amazing photos from the trade show being shown online and at Facebook. This time I tried to get in 'more' than usual, but my time at the show was very full of meetings and working my booth. So I didn't get to walk the rows like I normally hope to.  It seems the "Breakfast meeting" is the "New Black" so I was busy from sunup to sunset!

Let me share a few other show photos.. you can see more by CLICKING HERE and then going forward for a few days

Quilt Binding Tutorial

I've been wanting to do a quilt binding tutorial for some time, but just didn't get around to it. I know there's alot of binding tutorials out there, but you never know so here's my version. I like to do my binding this way to reduce the bulk at the starting point of the binding.

1. Cut all your binding strips to 2 1/4" or 2 1/2". I like narrow bindings so 2 1/4" is my standard binding size. I am making a scrappy binding so my strips are not the same.

Curvy As The Learning Process

It's called a learning curve.  We're in one.  First, I'm on my third try at a tank top ala Alabama Chanin (but my size).  Somehow it's not quite perfect but I'm getting there.

I have gained a huge appreciation for wax paper.  I copied the pattern onto wax paper and altering it is as easy as taping on more or cutting it up. Which is, in case you didn't know, really easy.

I don't have a picture of the first try because it has already joined
