Lotta Love

I finished the "Lotta Love" or "Endless Love" wall hanging this morning.  Put the last of 3 borders on.  It's a little larger than I wanted but I am very happy with how it turned out.  I like how the inner white border makes the chevrons look like they are floating.  Now, I need to work on quilting it and placing the instructions online for the color placement.  I hope you like it, let me know what you think.

Hearts Completed

I was able to complete a lot of sewing yesterday.  So much so that I finished the double hearts wall hanging center I was working on.  Only thing left is to add the borders and quilt and it will be ready to hang.  I'm happy with how it turned out and loved how the accuquilt pieces went together so easily! I usually don't name my quilts but this one I'm thinking about calling "Endless Love".  Now off to iron, square it up and add some borders.

Hearts Emerging

I was able to get some piecing completed yesterday.  So far, so good.  I'm hoping I can complete all the piecing by the end of the weekend to share the results and color placement pattern with you.  Here's what I have so far.  Of course, I have not ironed the sewn pieces yet.  I'm lazy with ironing.  I usually wait until the end to iron the results. Surprisingly, the little bit completed below is made up of 90 pieces so far.

Thanks

New Pattern Inspiration and Pre-Washing Dark Fabrics

Inspiration hits me at weird times.  An idea popped into my head yesterday for an upcoming Valentines Day wall hanging.  I have seen similar projects in the past but none exactly placed like I wanted to do so I set out to use my electric quilt to design the wall hanging.  I hope to have the prototype completed by the end of the week to share with you.  I will be using several AccuQuilt Go templates I received as Christmas presents as well.  Here's a hint at what I'm working with.

Garden Lattice -80- Made in EQ7

Garden Lattice Block (80)

This is a block from Weeks Ringle and Bill Kerr, a couple of my favorite designers. I attempted to make a block in EQ7. I was not very successful. I need to learn how to line up the snap points better. I also made a picture of what the quilt looked like. That is the really reason I am playing in EQ…. I want to see what the quilt would look like in an entirety.

Why I Don’t Plan to Ever Purchase EQ

I may have mentioned before that most of the computers in my home are Macs. (Actually, the only one that isn't is a 1999 Windows machine running Windows 98 which my husband still uses occasionally for Bible study.) It's not that I don't know how to run a Windows machine. I used to be the media specialist in a school that had mostly Windows machines. I really prefer Macs though. EQ is Windows
