The first Thursday of the month is the San Antonio Modern Quilt Guild meeting.  I always leave quite inspired.  This month was no different.  We saw a movie on Gees Bend and got to flip through some of the members’ books on Gees Bend.  Of course, the block above is NOT Gees, but it is our challenge block.

Challenge block?  Well, that isn’t modern at all.  I know- that IS the challenge.  3 coverlets (quilted bed covers) were donated to our guild after being found.

Best of the 2013 Concord (California) quilt show

Last week, we attended a little hometown quilt show, which are often the most fun, and had a great time viewing all the talent on display. From the Contra Costa Guild of Quilters in Concord, California, here is some wonderful, colorful "eye-candy", which we think you'll love. Enjoy !

Arizona Quilt Show Day 2 2013

Join us for Day Two in sunny Arizona as we look at beautiful quilts done by our friends in the southwestern U.S.A. ! The theme of this year's show was Arizona: Trends and Traditions

Saguaro Sentinels by Patsy Kittredge
