Graphic Circle Pillow – Or How I’m Using my Craftsy Step-outs


A simple pillow with great impact. Fun for my living room and I used up blocks, unfinished blocks, laying around the sewing room. Win-win!

I had these blocks from filming my Craftsy class. They were the step-outs from the Reverse Circles lesson. So I took a few minutes to finish all the blocks and turned them into this pillow. I can't lie, I chose the fabrics for the filming so that I could do this afterwards. These fabrics are a

Resourceful Bathroom Makeover


Ah settling into the new house.  Fixin’ things up to make it my home….

What do Xyron and Accuquilt have to do with each other???  Well, they are on a team to help me make over my small downstairs bathroom.  I wanted a bathroom that was painted in halves, you know like the bottom half is one color and the top half is another, and there’s some kind of border in between the two.  Ok, I didn’t want it exactly

An 8 day Course

Since Monday I have been teaching 5 ladies of the Clover Mama Africa project. They are all experience sewers and have done several courses. Today the first 2 quilt tops (2 m X 2 m- about 6 ft square) was completed.

In this week they have practiced several techniques making basic units. We started with checkerboards. Then a strip pieced checkerboard border was made.

They also start hand piecing the basket blocks.
