Adventures in Travel: Chapter 592

Guess where I am?  Go ahead…. guess.  I’ll give you a hint.

Yes, that is snow.  And my footprints.

This is me shortly after I arrived at my destination.  Figured out where I am yet?

Nope.  Not Alaska.

SAMSUNG

And that’s Dear Hubby getting the scraper out to brush off the car.  Isn’t the snow wonderful?  I wanted to drop to the ground and make snow angels immediately.  Dear Hubby was not amused.  He is ready to leave the snow behind

Sister’s Choice

Sister's Choice by Yvette Veri Piiparinen

Yvette Veri Piiparinen (Maria Yvette Veri) hopes someone found the Sister's Choice quilt she made for Tina Veri Hastings (Christina Marie Veri). It was last seen sometime around 2002 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The house was vacant at the time because her sister was moving to BC. When she returned with the moving truck, the quilt was missing, along

Stars, Timbits & A Last Weekend Outing

It’s my last day in Montreal and I’m packing.  Ready to head home and not ready all at the same time.  I’m sure Boo and MK feel forgotten although they’ve had a very good sitter while I was away, who reported on all their antics.  I am blessed with great friends.

How is it that two weeks can fly by so fast?  It feels like I just got here.  Of course, the fact that I fervently stitched 4,379 stars while I was here ought to give me a clue as to how long I’ve been here.  My fingers have been flying!

Road Trip!

Saturday, Dear Hubby and I decided to take a short drive.  We wanted to see a bit more of Canada.  So we headed off to Ottawa!

Just before we crossed the river and entered into Ontario, I turned back to see this little information center that greets you as you enter into the province of Quebec.  Aren’t the flowers just great?

Across the Ottawa river we went (they have really big rivers here)…..

Life is Good

Guess what I got Wednesday.  You guessed it.  Timbits.  I had held out long enough.  It was a glorious day for a walk and Dear Hubby came home from work early.

And besides.  I had run out of coffee.  We can’t have that.  Tim Hortons was calling my name.  Dear Hubby and I walked over.  I figured I was going to need to burn off a few calories.  Might as well get started on ‘em.

There were flowers along the way…..

Texas Baseball…..in Canada?

I had a very fun first day in Montreal.  I cleaned the whole apartment, did 3 loads of laundry, drank 2 cups of Tim Horton coffee and wrote a blog post.  And that was just in the first 15 minutes after I got out of bed.  Must have been the TH coffee.  Extra high test or something.

Then after lunch I watched baseball!  I know you are excited about that.  But this game was extra special.  My dear friend, Suz, was at this game in Round Rock, Texas.  And I streamed it on the internet.  Live.  As if I were there.

Where Am I? Part Deux

Here are a few hints……

Did you guess yet?

How about another hint…..

My coffee this morning.  Yum.

Remember this?  The microwave.  And I still don’t know what those words mean.  Anyone have a French dictionary?

What’s this?  This pic probably really threw you off.  Something new has been added
