Timeless Treasures has several new collections for Spring 2013. Matilda by Alice Kennedy has some beautiful focus prints and coordinates that I hope are expanded into full basics lines! Woodstock is another cute retro-foresty themed house collection.  Fabricworm, where I got the collection images from, noticed that Samarra Khaja‘s new Back to School collection goes perfectly with TT’s Geek Chic and random computer and video-game prints, so they’ve put them together for sale in a bundle they’re calling Brainiac. For word nerds (and typographical print

Fall Quilt Market 2012: Timeless Treasures

Here’s what’s coming from Timeless Treasures this season. They win for being the first on the food truck phenomenon with this very cute, hand-rendered print. Also look for strong, cool and graphic black and white prints from Samarra Khaja and Alice Kennedy; sweet dessert-themed collections from Samarra, TT’s in-house studio, and apron maven Jessie Steele; expanded basics, solids, mini-novelties, and crosshatch textures;  and as always, lots of miscellany — something to please every interest and taste!

Here’s a look at Timeless Treasures‘ designer collections from Spring Quilt Market 2012. These are all in stores now. Ship Shape is a dramatic and graphic take on nautical by the awesome Alice Kennedy. I’m seeing patriotic kids’ clothes as well as modern nursery decor and quilts.

 

 

Hoodie is keeping with the produce theme — last year it was Fruit a La Carte, now it’s the vegetable garden with

Free Pattern Day: Sailboats

Are you familiar with the sailboat quilt block ?  This pattern has been around for 80 years and it is still a classic.  Recently, we spotted a wonderful vintage sailboat quilt at Antique Quilts (shown below).  Wouldn't it be perfect for a kid's room, or a summer house by the sea ?  We've also discovered some clever modern designs - and free patterns - for sailboat quilts.

I was also thrilled to meet Alice Kennedy for the first time. I’ve remarked in amazement before about how prolific she is with the gorgeous fabric collections. I learned she works full-time for Timeless Treasures. Aaahhh … the pieces are all coming together for me now!

Alice has two new collections: Lemon Grove and Orange Crush. I bet you can tell which is which.
