Give away found

Head over to Chester County Criswel for a fat quarter give away. I'm always in need of new fabric. lol
Spent the day sewing on some blocks, taking pictures and catching up on emails. Whew what a day.
So these next few quilts are mine. This first one is called Quiltress.  It just looks to be regal so it needed a regal name. I bought the pattern and the ruler from the quilt shop in Joplin MO. the year before

This is going to shock you but……..

two post within a week. What is going on? It must be the change of the weather. I walked to work this morning so it must be all the extra energy I am feeling. Or is it I have veggieated on the couch for months so it is time to get with it. I'll go with a combo of both maybe. I have been blogging for a couple years now and still have no real sense on how the templates and stuff work. I really would like to explore more but then that all takes time and do I really

Another month passes

Well it is really over a month since I last posted, and I have a lot of things to show you but figuring out the new camera is one of those that seem to be eluding me. I have taken pics and I downloaded them then lost them. Guess what I found some of them so here is a little eye candy for you.
This is Anita's and it is for a Grand daughter. I have seen this pattern before

Pics from new camera

I finally got the camera out of the box, it's an Olympus SZ-12. A simple camera but yet good enough I can take activity shots of the grand kids, or so the sales rep says. I was going to buy one of the better ones and then when the rep asked what I took pics of  I had to stumble and say just quilts (why in the world are you getting fancy dancy if you just take quilts? I ask myself) So down the line to cheap we go and he explains this (not for sure of brand) cheap would

Done It Now

Ok so last post I said I was going to go take pictures. Hollered up at the hubby to hold the quilts for me and he obediently came down stairs to help. He had the first quilt up and ready and I you get this I dropped the camera. I have dropped it before with no problems but not this time. It must have hit just right and broke a piece of the lens cover. Well we all know that if the lens does not work properly then you are just out of luck.  So my wonderful hubby goes and gets his

I give up

I thought I would stay current on this blog and I really had all the good intentions of the world but it didn't work. So here it is almost two months later and I have nothing to show for it. I did make a list of projects I wanted to complete this year. I have 30 of them. Most of them are pieced but need borders and quilting. There are a few that needs some piecing yet.
This is a

Another month gone

Well Well, another month has passed me by and I can't for the life of me figure it out. I started out the month at a retreat. My cousin came in from 300 and some ott miles away for this event. She has never quilted before but her mother (my moms sister) is the one that started the quilting craze in our family. Her mother showed my Mom and the craze was on. So I spent most of my time showing her how to 'do' things. I taught one class Shuffled 9-patch.

Well, well, we have a winner

It seems a little late but I was away for the weekend and just recouped from it. The winner was drawn and Renee was the winner and has been notified.  Now where was I this past weekend and so important to forget to draw a winner?  QUILT RETREAT.  I didn't get a whole lot done, spent my time teaching my cousin to quilt.  She came 300 miles to learn so, we had a piecing marathon . Yes that's her with some of her blocks. She made 3 complete tops small there are but complete, and almost a 4th. Yes we has

Not doing so good, Give away info

Nope I am not doing so good on posting everyday. BUT I will say that this will be the 3rd post of the month and I had dwindled down to one post a month so yes it is better. I have so much to say that I just get to busy to say anything. The summer was very busy and it seemed to fly by. I bought a new car and managed to put 6,000 miles in 5 weeks. So yes I logged a lot of miles on the interstate. But all my trips were fun and glad I did
