Look at this mess!

This was my cutting table this past weekend.

Why?

Well because very soon (less than an hour from now) I will be leaving to go to Fargo N.D. to attend their annual Quilt Show and Conference.  The workshop I am taking had some homework to do beforehand.

That's what this mess is.  Me in the middle of cutting up fabric.

Finally got to spend some time in my sewing room this afternoon.

So what did I do?

Well I was working on the first block of the Designer Mystery BOM from FQS.  I talked about it in this post as well as this post.

Had some frustrations with attaching the squares to the outer corner of the rectangles to make flying geese units.  Even though I drew the diagonal line on the wrong side of the square to be my sewing guide my

I enjoy reading other quilt blogs to see what quilters are creating.  Quilters are also very generous people.  So while blog reading late on night I came across this free quilt-a-long called

 Bee In My Bonnet Row Along.

Next week 2 of my kids are returning to another year of university. 

 Today while running errands we stopped at a big box store and picked up some school supplies.  I got some too!

So what did I get?

Some mechanical pencils

for tracing out applique shapes onto freezer paper

On Saturday I went to a fitness class that incorporated using this thing.

When I woke up on Sunday I was sore, very very sore.
