Lifesaver quilt – blogger’s quilt festival entry

This is my entry in the blogger's quilt festival in the category Two Color Quilt.
It is one of those quilts that get better and better while making them... I had a pretty good picture in my mind, but when I out the pieces together and the quilt actually became a quilt, I was more and more intrigued with it.
The red fabric is mainly Moda Mama Said Sew.
Ah, and by the way, the quilt is what I call monster size... :)

New flyer and a big thanks

I have to say a big thank you to Julien for once again making such a brilliant design for the lieblingsdecke flyer. Here comes the new flyer:

Very good time….

I had a very good time last weekend. It was my first bee meeting, in fact my first sewing get-together at all. At first, I felt a little intimidated, but these ladies are so lovely!

so everyoe agreed there has to be a second time around, next time in Frankfurt and I will try my best to be an almost-as-good hostess as Aylin (the hostess with the mostest)...

OK, this is far more than I usually write, so it's

New block

I wish I could say it was my idea, but I saw this block in Tacha's flickr stream and knew I had to try this pattern myself. And this is the result:

Thanks for sharing, Tacha!

New idea, new product

Well, new for me, many of you have probably seen it before. But it is just so cute:

When I posted this picture on Facebook, a friend of mine asked me what it is, so in case you have the same question: It is a diaper cover for babies. Actually, I do have some more of the fabric and could make it bigger, if you asked me nicely.

I will show this product on Sunday at SchnickSchnack Markt in Darmstadt as a test run and see how the reactions are.

SWAPPEN Kissen fertig

SWAPPEN Deutschland by lieblingsdecke

I hope my partner likes it..

What can I say? I used scraps and Kona Snow, but in hindsight, I could have used a pattern fabric rather than solid.

And for the back I used some darker blue fabric:
