Spring Quilt Market 2012: FreeSpirit – Tula Pink

Oh, Tula Pink always gets me in my rainbow-lovin’ heart.

Tula was at market in full force, with a huge booth to showcase two lines, Nightshade (out now) and The Birds and the Bees (July/August). The space was divided down the middle with the two line’s color palettes, but still meshed beautifully together, like a really well-adjusted split-personality.

The Book! You have it, right?

The Birds and the Bees features 29 quilting cottons,

Spring Quilt Market 2012: FreeSpirit/Westminster – Anna Maria Horner

Headline, folks: Anna Maria Horner has gone wild.

I mean, there was a panther in her booth. A purple and orange panther. It was crazy, and also?  AMAZING.

Anna’s new line(s), Field Study No 1 and 2, have diverse and unique sources of inspiration, from avian migratory patterns to plant DNA slides. They are all, however, united by the common “sense of adventure and the idea of investigating the natural

Spring Quilt Market 2012: FreeSpirit/Westminster – Joel Dewberry

Joel Dewberry is one of just a few guys in the row of Westminster/FreeSpirit designers, and I think that he holds the banner high: Real Men Aren’t Afraid of Ruffles.

This market, Joel was showcasing his rapidly expanding line of sewing patterns, Eclectic Modern.

Spring Quilt Market 2012: FreeSpirit/Westminster – Amy Butler

I was very excited to be tasked with photographing the Westminster/FreeSpirit designer booths; they are always such incredible displays of creativity and inspiration, and this year was no exception! As always, Amy Butler‘s space was immaculately styled and a perfect representation of her new line, Cameo.

Cameo seems to marry the Asian-inspired aesthetic of Amy’s last few
