Mothers Day Project Old Lace Dilly Bag

Hello and Happy Mothers Day to everyone I hope you all have a wonderful day. Saturday I went to Shelley's house for our annual Mothers Day Project. We both started at 9.30 on our Old Lace Dilly Bag . We had both pre cut our fabrics to save time. Shelley surprised me with some lovely old napkins from her grandmothers box, which as Shelley said, she would like to know the napkins were appreciated and used in such a lovely project. So we sat down and cut the edges to use in our bags. Then she had some lovely old handkerchiefs

Mrs Billings Coverlet

I have decided to end my Mrs Billings Coverlet with this  border. I have thoroughly enjoyed my journey although at times I had trouble deciding fabric placement and choices of fabric.I am so pleased with this my first all hand pieced quilt. I am sending it to have professionally quilted, it measures 70 x 70 inches and has over 2300 pieces. I  was originally toying with the idea of trying to hand quilt it but at this size I am not sure I would ever finish it.

Scandinavian Rose Update

I hope everyone enjoyed stitching along last night. After a bit of sorting and tidying through my projects I sat down and started back on my Scandinavian Rose Quilt again. I have neglected her the last month mainly due to the fact that I wanted to get Mrs Billings to a border that I was happy to use as my final border.

Thanks Cheryll for organising us to stitch together again this month.

                 Happy stitching...........

Hmmm makes me wonder .........no I can't be mean especially when I see his face and dropping eyelid and lip. :-)
                      For now
