WOW! what a weekend!

On Sunday I turned 65!  I got goodies, too.

But the greatest gift I got was to watch my daughter graduate from Whitworth University with a Bachelor degree in Social Services - she will be working in counseling & service to those who require that sort of help.
My son & his lovely lady were there, plus the DD's grand-baby & family and her #2 son & his dad as well.  Some of her really good friends watched her matriculate, too.

All-in-all a GREAT  day!

Finish on Friday

Well, try to anyway ;~).

This morning is starting with laundry, moving through menu planning, on to garden work, & then...........

OK, much hassle on phone with multiple parties.  It seems somebody wants me to be 65 before Sunday!  In April I had to have tests done & apparently somebody checked the Medicare box on the forms.  I received a letter from our medical insurance carrier that said they would not cover the cost of the tests as it was excluded

Thursday-up & running

(oops, forgot to post yesterday)
It's a day to make some bread, work on some quilting & "putz" around.
I still need to water the garden, though as the promised rain has not occured & my plants are all babies with shallow roots.
I put the flowers that I purchased - "Ladies Night Out" at the local building supply - into a couple of big pots to put in the front of the house.  I replace these every spring, so I have fresh new blooms for the

Tune-up on Tuesday

Well, we got a tiny bit of rain last evening - nothing like was predicted, as usual - you can't out-guess the palouse, LOL.  It's a bit cloudy today.

A great-grandbaby day

I had little "Hazel-bug" at my house today.  So, needless to say, I didn't get much done; some clothes folded, dishes put away, and a bit of cleaning.  Most of the time was spent playing with her and doing all of the things one does with grand daughters.  She is such a good child, but does like to be able to see you even while she is lying down on a blanket and doing her baby things.  So, I got some knitting in and a bit of listening to a book.
It's

Friday & the Quilt Shop Hop

I had a lovely time visiting the quilt shops in my area that were participating in the ShopHop.

Well, of course I spent money, is that not what one does on a shop hop????

But I got to see some nifty fabrics and find out more information about some of

Thanks for Thursday

Another lovely, warm day here.  I'm out in the garden planting & preparing.  Have already hung the laundry for the day - do you wonder how 2 people can have so much laundry, LOL?  Well, I have but limited clothesline space, so cannot do large loads for hanging outside and since I have a machine that can limit how much water it uses when it washes small loads, I do what will fit on the lines.  Now, I know I am probably not saving much as the outdoor drying is probably cancelled by the water usage, but

Anti-procrastination day

If you follow the "FlyLady" you will know what I mean.
After I took my friend Nora to lunch today, I came home to get some things done that I'd been meaning to do.  That stuff that you mean to do, but then something gets in the way?   Anyway, I also continued the spring cleaning, too.  It was a successful day in that respect.
Another positive note; there are more little asparagus plants sprouting.  I was worried that they were not going to grow, but apparently it's just that

Terrific Tuesday (another one)

More beautiful sun & warmth today.  I got out early and made sure the plantings had plenty of water; just waiting now to see them pop from the ground.
Already have one load of laundry done & ready to hang, just have another small one to go.  I plan to do a bit more "spring cleaning" today, too - slow & sure wins the race.

Cherry tree
