I am always amazed at the beauty of these photo quilts and am positive the recipients will be absolutely tickled pink when they open this truly one of a kind anniversary gift.  Mary you did a wonderful job - you should be very very proud.

Mary made this beautiful quilt, I for a relative - maybe even her Mom and Dad ( note to self - self you need to make clearer notes).  Mary if you read this post and I am wrong please send me an e-mail and I will change it.

Awesome Scrappy Quilt by Susan

This is another wonderful example of what can be done with those scraps we all have laying around the studio.  Susan did a great job putting hers together to make this great quilt. Love that saw tooth border Susan.

"Hunter Star" by Elizabeth

Love these Hunter Star quilts!  Elizabeth is a wonderful customer and quilting friend.  She drops quilts off, picks quilts up and takes time to chat and catch up. We laugh, we cry and all in all have a great time talking about quilting of course, grand children, dogs, and our upcoming trip to Houston in the fall.

A year or so ago Elizabeth saw I was working on my Hunter Star quilt (not quilted yet, I might add).  She asked about it, and I told her about Debbie Tuckers Rapid Fire Hunter Star DVD and ruler I used

Maxine Quilt by Suzanne

Here is another great example of what can be done with those panels we just have to have, and pick up at quilt shows, on- line shopping and in our local quilt stores.  Suzanne took two of these panels, put them together, added a couple of borders and came up with a wonderful fun quilt.  Fast, easy and very very effective.

Suzanne has a friend that is struggling with health problems and wanted to see if

Needs more practice! Angela Walter’s Design

I really liked this design by Angela Walters and wanted to give it a try.  When I first saw it I thought it would be great for masculine quilts and I'm always on the look out for something suitable for men's quilts.

This top was made for Victoria Quilts by a very giving person and quilted using my rendition of Angela's design.  I really think with a bit more practice this would fit in very well into my repertoire of designs.

"All Fenced In" by Lori

Lori is a first time customer and just starting out quilting.  This lovely quilt is one of her first quilts and she mentioned the name is "All Fenced In".  Lori did an awesome job on this quilt and I understand she is already working on another project. So wonderful to see these young women taking up the art of quilting - way to go ladies!

The quilting on this beauty is freehand daisy/swirls/funky hearts.  Lori gave me free reign with the design so I just went all out and had a lot of fun.  The batting is Hobbs

God’s Beautiful Creation

Michele brought me this lovely wall quilt showing a number of God's beautiful creations.  I'm not sure where Michele will hang this quilt - maybe in the Lodge, maybe it's a gift - not sure!

The quilting is freehand swirls in the background with custom stitching in the ditch around the animal blocks and the animals themselves.  I tried to add some definition to the beautiful creatures as well as the foliage behind them - aren't they amazing.

Fall Applique Quilt by Cari

This lovely quilt was brought in by first time customer Cari.  Cari wasn't sure how she wanted the quilting but did mention she wanted veins in the maple leaves.  A combination of freehand and custom quilting was used to complete this stunning quilt.

The freehand swirls were done using a cream colored thread for the background fill and a gorgeous variegated thread - Mirage by Wonderfil for the veins in the maple leaves giving them a lovely 3 dimentional look.
