Journal Covers – Sunday FUN

After working overtime on Saturday.... I got to spend today in my Sewing Cave... 
We did a bit of running around in the morning...but I couldn't resist playing with the new book I bought last week.  I've been dying to try some of these blocks from the book 
"Shape Workshop for Quilters"... the book is filled with 60 fantastic blocks with a Modern Twist.. Here are the journal covers I made...

Busy Bee Weekend

I know it's almost been a month since my last post...Sorry not to be online a bit more.... I can not believe how fast the month of April flew by.   I was waiting for a new sewing machine to arrive...it came, I got to work on one project and then left town.  (I bowled the Women's National Tournament with my Aunt and dear friends... Lots of FUN).  Then got busy with my Softball games and Soccer practices that I didn't really get to sew on my new

April Mug Rug Hop

Sunday Sewing..

I got a couple of bee blocks finished today.... I did a strip for Charlotte, she's working on a Sunday Morning Quilt called gum drops... Here's that Strip I made for her.

She's using Teal and Orange instead of the colors in the book.  I think this is going to look fabulous!!

And my second April block is for Tessophia, she is making a rainbow quilt for her

OMGosh…New Machine

Well....I am SEW SUPER excited. *BIG GRIN*  I was talking with Mr Fantastic about a new sewing machine for my quilting projects... I have been looking at them for a VERY long time, over 2 years now... and just mentioned that I found one on sale for what I considered a very good price.   I never would have expected him to say Order it... BUT HE DID.   *Massive GRIN on my Face*   He told me that it sounded like a good deal, and it is definitely something that I would use..so go ahead and order

My Newly Remodeled Sewing Room!!!

OH my... I can't wait to share.. I've been working on my room off and on now for two weeks, and I have it cleaned up enough to share today..   I use to have a big computer desk in a corner and it took a lot of my space, but NOW it's gone and I shifted my tables around and added some bookcases, and now my room is a wonderful, inspiring and a Fantastic space for me to Create and Sew in :)  YEAH!!!!!

A Machine Quilting Notion Must Have

Hi all.. I spent the day working in our yard...loved the spring blossoms I kept finding...

After all that yard work I am sitting here relaxing and thinking about how great today and my Saturday sewing went.  *happy face*  I thought I would share one of the reasons why I still had lots of energy for today's activities.  Usually after a day of machine quilting my shoulders and especially my hands are exhausted... but

Action Packed Saturday Sewing

It's been a busy past few weeks at work, so I didn't get to spend much time in my sewing room since my last post...except for the past 2 days.... Our desktop computer finally bit the dust and we moved the desk out of there... I managed to get $40 dollars for the old desk by posting it on craigslist... Not bad.. It's still in good shape, but just don't have a need for a desk that big without a computer for it.  We now have two laptops at our house..and thus..... I get a 100% ALL MINE
